Arizona Medicare Assistance Programs
Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is Arizona’s Medicaid agency, which is a low income guided and state funded program used to assist those who have lower than average household incomes. This program has certain requirements for eligibility that must be met in order to receive assistance. A Low Income Subsidy can help those we are qualified for Medicaid cover prescription drug costs.
Arizona has other assistance programs such as PACE, the Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly and SHIP, the Senior Health Insurance Program. PACE helps the individual who cannot afford to otherwise meet their health care costs including copayments, premiums and prescription help. SHIP provides various counseling services to those searching for Medicare.
Arizona also has Medicare Cost Sharing programs that help eligible Medicare recipients pay for health care costs.
