Colorado Medicare Assistance Programs

Colorado offers various Medicare Assistance programs to help those enrollees who need it when paying out of pocket costs. Some of Colorado’s Medicare Assistance programs include Medicaid, a state funded program that helps individuals who cannot afford to pay their out of pocket health care costs. In addition, Colorado also offers a Child Health Plan Plus, which helps child Medicare enrollees under the age of 18 who are disabled or blind to receive extra benefits or to help paying when they cannot.

The Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) is for other enrollees who are in need of services but cannot afford them, so long as they meet income requirements. Colorado also offers the State Health Insurance Program or SHIP, which provides various counseling services as well as the Colorado Medicare Savings plan and other assistance programs.
