Massachusetts Medicare Assistance Programs
Massachusetts’s Medicare assistance programs include Medicaid, which is a state funded program called MassHealth. This program helps eligible individuals who cannot afford their out of pocket health care costs.
Massachusetts also offers the Prescription Advantage Program, which is the Massachusetts program that helps cover out-of-pocket prescription costs.
The Serving Health Information Needs of Elders (SHINE), which is a program that provides counseling and education services helps Medicare enrollees find a plan right for them. Additionally, a Medicare Savings Plan and other assistance programs are available as well.
