New York Medicare Assistance Programs
The New York Medicaid program is a state funded program that helps eligible Medicare recipients with funding for medical care and out-of-pocket costs. New York also offers the Medicaid Pharmacy Program that helps Medicare and low income enrollees with prescription drug costs.
New York offers a Managed Long Term Care program that can help elderly recipients with various medical needs.
In addition to these various assistance programs, New York has the Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program (HIICAP) which provides Medicare beneficiaries with counseling services and education on the various Medicare programs in New York.
