The North Carolina Medicaid program, funded by the state and run by the Division of Medical Assistance and the Department of Health and Human Services, helps eligible low income Medicare enrollees with their health care expenses.
The NCRx program is a Medicare eligible program which helps low income recipients pay for prescription drug costs.
The NC Alzheimer’s Support Program helps elderly Medicare recipients with Alzheimer’s receive and pay for the long-term care they need.
Additionally, North Carolina offers a State Health Insurance Information Program that offers counseling and education to Medicare eligible residents and can help these individuals make choices regarding their health care.
