Pennsylvania Medicare Assistance Programs
Pennsylvania also offers many Medicare assistance programs that can help residents of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Medicaid program, also called Medical Assistance, is provided by the state of Pennsylvania. This program helps low-income eligible Medicare enrollees to pay their medical expenses and other out-of-pocket costs.
Pennsylvania offers a Long Term Care assistance program to those who use Medicare and need long term services. Also, Pennsylvania offers a prescription drug program, called the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly (PACE) & PACE Needs Enhancement Tier (PACENET).
In addition to these various assistance programs, Pennsylvania has the APPRISE program which is run by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and provides Medicare beneficiaries with counseling services and education on the various Medicare programs in Pennsylvania.
