Washington Medicare Assistance Programs
The Washington Medicaid program, also called Medical Assistance, helps eligible Medicare enrollees pay for medical expenses.
Washington also offers Medicare Savings Programs to eligible Medicare recipients, which can help offset some medical costs. The Washington Prescription Drug Consortium offers help for paying out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs.
Washington also has the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) program, which is run by the HelpLine Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner and provides Medicare beneficiaries with counseling services and education on the various Medicare programs in Washington.
